혹시라도 연수기간 코로나19 양성반응이 나올 경우, 학생의 학원 등교는 1주일간 중지되며, 학원 등교가 중지된 기간동안 보충수업으로 제공됩니다.
사정상 보충수업 제공이 어려울 경우(출국 마지막 주 양성 반응 등) 중지된 수업은 적립 및 이월이 되며, 양도도 가능합니다.

단기 영어캠프 과정은 영어가 모국어가 아닌 학생들이 영어를 사용하는 환경에서 어려움 없이 생활하고 영어 능력을 향상시키는 것을 목표로 합니다. 효과적인 수업 진행을 위해 학생주도의 교수 방식을 선호하며 텍스트북에서 벗어나 능동적으로 소통하며 영어를 배울 수 있습니다.

MEC Academy는 첫 레벨테스트를 의례 형식적으로 넘기지 않고, 공신력 있는 프로그램(Oxford Placement Test)을 활용하여 아이들의 영어 실력을 정확하게 평가하고 반 배정과 수업에 반영합니다.
학교에서 배운 조각 조각의 문법지식과 어휘를 활용하기 위한 기초 단계로
가장 많이 쓰이는 빈출 단어(Sight words) 및 구문에 대한 뉘앙스를 알고 습득하며,

스콜라스틱 수업은 일반 수업과 연장선에서 수업이 진행되고, 선생님당 학생 인원도 동일합니다.
첫날은 계정 로그인 후 설정 과정과 영어테스트가 진행됩니다.
설정에서 학생이 원하는 주제를 3가지 선택하게 되며, 영어테스트를 마치면 렉사일이라는 영어 점수가 나오게 됩니다.
둘째날부터 본 수업이 진행되며, 첫날 설정한 학생의 기호와 렉사일 지수에 맞춰 영어도서가 추천됩니다.
독서 활동 후에는 이해 여부를 판단하는 간단한 테스트와 독서 내용에 대한 요약노트를 작성합니다.
독서활동은 일일 30분 정도 소요되며, 20일 기준 20-30여권의 도서를 읽게 됩니다.
스콜라스틱 리딩 프로그램 계정은 1년간 사용하도록 계약이 되어 있어서 귀국 후에도 계속 무료로 사용이 가능합니다.

Lexile 지수란?
Lexile(렉사일)이란 1984년 미국에서 설립된 저명한 교육연구기업 MetaMetrics®(메타메트릭스)사의 과학적인 연구를 바탕으로 개발된 독서 수준 지표를 말합니다.
영어책의 텍스트 난이도와 독자의 영어 읽기 수준을 측정하는 도구로써 렉사일은 미국 21개 주에서 공식적인 영어 읽기 능력 평가로 인정받고 있으며, 세계적으로 가장 공인된 영어 읽기 능력 지수입니다.
도서의 난이도를 BR(Beginning Reader)에서 2000L까지 수치화하였고, 평가를 통해서 독자의 읽기 능력 역시 렉사일 지수로 제공합니다. 렉사일 지수는 도서의 텍스트 난이도와 독자의 읽기 능력을 동일한 척도로 측정하기 때문에 독창적입니다.

숙소는 모두 조호바루 신도시 지역 중심에 위치합니다.
디프리스틴은 레고랜드와 몰 오브 메디니 바로앞이고 도보로 5분 거리, MEC어학원까지 차량으로 5분 거리에 있습니다.
마크로링크는 레고랜드와 몰 오브 메디니까지 차량으로 3분 거리, MEC어학원까지 차량으로 7분 거리에 있습니다.
프레이저는 레고랜드와 몰 오브 메디니까지 차량으로 7분 거리, MEC어학원까지 차량으로 10분 거리에 있습니다.
02. 숙소내부에 취사 도구는 구비되어 있나요?
인원에 맞춰 그릇과 수저, 냄비와 프라이팬 등이 갖추어져 있습니다.
또한 각 유닛별로 전기밥솥이 제공됩니다.
03. 주변에는 편의시설이 갖추어져 있나요?
디프리스틴 숙소 내부에는 수영장과 실내체육시설,놀이터,산책로 등이 갖추어져 있습니다.
마크로링크에는 50미터/백사장 타입의 최고의 풀장, 스크린 골프장, 영화관/노래방,스쿼시, 탁구장, 농구장,풋살장, 사우나/자쿠지, 멀티룸 등이 구비되어 있습니다.
프레이저는 수영장, 스파,사우나/자쿠지, 피트니스, 뷔페실 및 마트가 있습니다.
04. 한달 거주 후 숙소 연장이 가능한가요?
예 가능하며 비용은 가격 테이블을 참조하시면 됩니다.
05. 하우스키핑 요청은 어떻게 하나요?
매주 1회는 무료로 하우스키핑 서비스가 제공됩니다.
무료로 제공되는 하우스키핑 서비스 외에는 추가로 하우스키핑을 요청하시거나 베드시트 교체를 원하시는 경우 현지에서 직접 요청하실 수 있습니다. 각 유닛별로 하우스키핑 안내 포스터가 붙어 있습니다.
06. 두 가정 이상이 한 집을 공유할 수 있나요?
1베드룸은 2인, 2베드룸은 4인, 3베드룸은 6인까지 체류가 가능하며 정해진 인원이 넘지 않는 경우 여러 가족이 한 유닛을 쉐어하셔도 무방합니다.
07. 숙소에 관한 요청 및 문의는 어떻게 해야 하나요?
숙소는 콘도 단기 숙박업을 운영하는 전문 업체를 통해서 관리되며 모든 관련 문의는 업체 담당자를 통해서 요청하실 수 있습니다. MEC 어학원은 프로그램 참가자의 편의를 위해 숙소 예약에 관한 부분을 대행해 드립니다.
08. 숙소별 차이점은 무엇인가요?
마크로링크는 신축 건물로 쾌적하며, 50미터 풀장과 스크린 골프장을 비롯하여 가격 대비 최상의 편의시설을 보유한 숙소입니다.
디프리스틴의 경우, 신도시 타 지역에 비해 도보 이동 거리에 대형마트, 식당&커피숍 및 놀이시설이 위치하여 차량이 없이도 불편함을 최소화 할 수 있습니다.
프레이저 호텔은 취사가 가능하며 호텔 서비스와 조식을 제공받을 수 있는 편리함을 경험할 수 있는 곳입니다.
09. Wifi 인터넷 속도는 얼마나 빠른가요?
유튜브로 영상을 시청하시는 데는 불편함이 없을 정도입니다.
10. 숙소에 벌레는 없나요?
열대지방 특성상 개미, 바퀴벌레, 도마뱀 등이 나올 수도 있습니다.
심한 경우에는 숙소 관리자를 통해 해결하시면 됩니다.
